Project main objective:
Improving the health status of women & children including old age people from 12 villages of Nandurbar District residing in 3600 households through improved access & quality maternal & child health services & reach another 12 more villages in a phased manner.
Specific objectives:
1- The project seeks to improve the health status of women & children through improved access & quality maternal & child health services with focus attention on vulnerable sections of the community.
2- To promote the positive health seeking behavior among community particularly in the age group of 15 -49
3- To improve the status of Ante Natal, post natal checkups and to promote institutional deliveries.
4- To improve the overall health status through promoting the importance of hygiene, sanitation & nutritional aspect.
5- To link the community with Govt. health & Nutritional services
6- To involve the Govt. front line workers such as ASHA & AWW as part of capacity building programs to ensure continuity & quality in services
7- To choose & build the capacity of 2 community health volunteers, resulting in behavior change on issues related to MCH & Nutrition among all the villagers.
Health Service Package:
1. Primary health checks ups of women and children. Diagnosis & Treatment of focused beneficiaries group of women [15 to 49] and children under the age of 6 years.
2. Ante natal checkups/care
3. Post natal care of mother and new born baby
4. Free distribution of medicines
5. Counseling services on MCH, Anemia, and Nutrition &Hygiene and importance of taking full course of medicines.
Following laboratory test may be done by the lab technician under the supervision & prescription of the Doctor.

6. Weighing
